Sketch366

New year's resolutions are often goals we set to improve at whatever it is we want to get better at.  We rarely consider the methodology about actually achieving these things, which is why they rarely work.  My goal is to be a successful concept artist, but how do I even make that into a resolution?  I think I have figured it out.

With a little inspiration from Chris Ayers (http://www.chrisayersdesign.com), and Scott Robertson who did "ink-tober", I will be attempting to draw, paint, create, or design, in some form or another, every single day--all 366 of them!  Perhaps traditional media, perhaps sketches, maybe paintings, who knows. It is not important what I work within or even necessarily specific subject matter.  My parameters are to work on fundamentals of whatever I feel like doing, spending ~60 minutes on some form of exercise concentrating on light, color, value, or really anything that is at the root of any great concept artist.  After all, fundamental understanding and knowledge is what separates a good artist from a great one.
